- By Dan Gapen, Sr.

Here is the book considered the best ever written on river systems, their secret hiding places, unseen backwaters, hidden under water fish sanctuaries, and roaring waters. It tells of old river rats who make thier living from such waters, about Indians whose myths and river legends once ruled the land. River Fishing is an enlightening, entertaining how-to manuscript which the river angler must have. The book is filled with helpful tips for both novice and pro alike. Detailed maps of where-to find river fish species abound. If you've not angled the world running waters before reading Dan's book, you soon will after the books completion.

To those who've read the original River Fishing book by Dan D. Gapen. There's a treat in this completely revised and updated edition. A must have June 25, 2014

This book has stories of Dan's river experiences as well as specific locations and patterns.  It is written in a conversational style, so it is easy to imagine the Head River Rat sitting right there with you guiding your learning.
The one thing that keeps me coming back to Gapen is the personal touch the company has with it's customers: Hand written address labels on your orders and catalogs.  Best of all, without my asking, the Head River Rat wrote a dedication within and autographed the book for me!
