 Here it is the first BARBLESS jig for the angler who is concerned about catch and release and the destruction of fish species due to barbed hooks and the damage they do. This is a true barbless hook, not one which have had the barbs pinched or cut.

Canadian provinces such as Manitoba and Ontario, as well as many of the American States, are going to "barbless" hooks. It's a true conservation effort in fish management and one which will increase as fish populations receive heavier and heavier fishing pressures.

Unlike the story about barbless hooks being fishless hooks, the real truth is that barbless hooks hold fish as well do barbed hooks. The angler only has to keep the pressure on when fighting the fish.
