MATERIAL USED IN GAPEN RODS: Gapen's Wilderness North (tm) rods are constructed of 100 percent IM 6 U.S. manufactured graphite cloth. It is the finest quality graphite made in the world today, making it the most sensitive and strongest rod in the field today. Thus the "LIFETIME" CONDITIONAL WARRANTY.

Add to the U.S. constructed rod the finest titanium guides and a real seat of 100 percent graphite. These rods last a lifetime.

CONDITIONAL "LIFETIME" WARRANTY: The new Gapen Wilderness North rods will be replaced or repaired under the terms of the following conditions:

The LIFETIME ORIGINAL OWNER WARRANTY includes and is limited to the repair or replacement at the discretion of the company, defects in material and components or workmanship related to these items.

This warranty does not cover the following: normal wear, theft, loss, intentional breakage, abusive use or modification to the product.

PLEASE NOTE: Most rod failures occur with the first few times of use. Failures that occur after extensive use are more likely caused by damage or normal wear.

The following are some examples of ways that a rod may be damaged: Overstressing by not adhering to recommended line weights; storing rod in excessive heat for an extended period of time; storing a wet rod in a sealed area or container; attempting to dislodge a snag by whipping the rod; transporting the rod without adequate protection; jamming in doors, boat lockers, or being stepped on by boat anglers or pets.

If replacement rod is out of stock or discontinued, The Gapen Company will offer you a substitute rod of similar or greater value as available.

EXTENDED WARRANTY VALUE: The following offer is made to all Wilderness North (tm) rod purchasers: The Gapen Company will replace any rod whose blank breaks due to damage (see above description of damage) or accidental breakage, at a cost of 55 percent of the current retail value of that same rod. The Gapen Company also will offer, at cost, repair or replacement of components through our repair facility.

When returning a rod directly to The Gapen Company for repair or replacement at the company's discretion, include a note describing the problem, a return shipping address, telephone number and a check to: The Gapen Company for $18.50 to cover the return postage, insurance and hard case. (Outside the U.S.A customers will be required to pay actual costs.)

"QUICK" REEL WARRANTY: All "Quick" reels carry a 1-year full warranty on parts and failure to work. Should the reel fail within that year PLEASE return it to: The Gapen Company, 17910 - 87th Street, Becker, MN 55308 and ti will be fixed or replaced at no charge.

AFTER ONE YEAR, Return the reel to Poock's Reel Repair, 2425 - 15 1/2 Street NW, Faribault, MN 55021 (Ph:507-334-2441) with a check or money order for $17.50 and youre reel will be cleaned, oiled greased and repaired. If a major repair or replacement is needed Poock's will notify you of any additional costs.
