Gapen's two-piece Wilderness rods host a double overlapped ferrel section which prevents breakage in the ferrel section of the rods. It is here that 90 percent of the breaks occur. The graphite in these two-piece rods is IM6 just as found in our one-piece rods. Thus the sensitivity is equal.

These two-piece rods ccarry the same grade A cork, the same graphite reel seats, and the same titanium oxide guides which are found on Gapen's one-ppiece rods.

Regarding the two-piece rod waranty: Gapen's two-piece rods carry an identical warranty to their one-piece rods.

Keep in mind, Mr. Angler, if the two-piece rod you buy is equally as sensitive as the one-piece, it's probably a Gapen Wilderness rod. "WHY NOT BUY" one of Gapen's highly sensitive and extra strong rods?

There is an additional $6.75 charge to ship up to 3 rods in a single case. This covers the actual cost of the case and the individual rod sacks that each rod will be shipped in. At check out, you will select the appropriate shipping charge which cov ers the actual cost of shipping. This rod tube will act as a protector and shipping case for several of your rods you’ll take into Canada. Dan Gapen, Sr., has found that PVC pipe is the BEST rod case you can use. Not even the meanest of guides or float plane pilots can break a PVC rod tube.
