'Bobber Anne' Float

Constructed with South American balsa wood, a SPECIAL SLIP-N-LOCK line-attaching device, and a through-glass stem, Gapen's floats are the strongest, most sensitive balsa floats on the market today. This is Gapen's Hungarian import. We do so because they are the WORLD'S FINEST in quality and performance. Constructed of South American balsa wood, quality epoxy paint and finished with premium clear varnish. Slip-N-Lock fishing floats are fitted with newly-patented snaplock attach/release devices. Fluorescent red float tips, set high above float, create easy visual contact for the angler who works live bait such as chubs, fatheads, sucker minnows, shad, worms, crickets and dead bait, for species such as bluegill, crappie, bass, walleye, catfish and big game species.

How the Slip-N-Lock Float Works

Slip-N-Lock balsa floats hosts a NEW attaching device which allows the angler to easily attach or detach the float from his line. By simply slipping the line through the slot on the side of the lock device and pulling the sleeve down. All the way to lock, partway for slip-floating. (click on "How-To-Use" for more details)

Gapen's Slip-N-Lock floats are constructed with a fiberglass core, high impact finish, durable balsa and durable locking device. They are GUARANTEED against breakage for ONE year from the time of purchase when used under normal fishing conditions. Return to: The Gapen Company, 17910 87th Street, Becker, MN 55308 for replacement.

Gapen Floats July 25, 2018

I've used Gapen floats for over twenty years now for everything including bluegills, walleye, salmon, steelhead, and trout. I use and abuse these floats and they always hold up. The thing I like the most about these floats is they can be used as a fixed float or sliding float, which I frequently use for steelhead, salmon and trout. I ordered extra floats this time because I'm no longer "loaning out" any floats! Now they have to buy them, at a premium!

Bobber anne changes May 30, 2018
Reviewer: Steve Curtis from Chicago city, MN United States
I bought my bobbers because they are part of a system I have been using for 20 years. to be honest. Once i received them, i was not happy that the plastic slide down tube that locks around your fishing line had been replaced with a cheap piece of surgical tubing that will eventually loose its elasticity and fail...no where on your website did it state that it had been updated or changed...had I known this I wouldn't have bought the bobbers. Why would you ruin a excellent bobber like that? It's tacky compared to what you had!  And what, you saved 5 cents per bobber!  Signed, one lost customer, steve curtis
