Gapen Glow Tail Spin-Bee Jig
The Glow Tail Spin-Bee builds on the original Gapen Spin-Bee, Dan Gapen Sr.'s fly-jig hybrid that pairs a tied fly body with a rear spinning blade. On the Glow Tail version the spinning blade glows, so the lure keeps showing up when light is low: early and late in the day, in stained or deep water, and under the ice.
The striped bumble-bee body imitates baitfish such as perch and darters, and the glowing blade adds flash and vibration. Fish it for walleye, bass, white bass, crappie, bluegill, perch, trout and pike.
Key Features
- Glow spinning blade: flash in daylight, glow in low light and dirty water
- Tied fly body: the bumble-bee style pattern from the original Spin-Bee
- Versatile: cast and retrieve, troll or vertically jig, in open water or through the ice
- 10 colors, 4 weights: 1/16, 1/8, 1/4 and 3/8 oz
How to fish it: Tip lightly with a small piece of leech, crawler or minnow, keeping the blade free to spin. Use brighter colors like Chartreuse/White and Pink/White in stained water, and contrasting patterns like Black/White in clear water.
Made in the USA - Authentic Gapen Tackle quality.
Fishing Tips: Cast and retrieve, troll or vertically jig the Glow Tail Spin-Bee. Lean on it at dawn, dusk and under the ice, when the glowing blade helps fish find it. The blade draws fish in and the tied body triggers the strike. Tip lightly with leech, crawler or minnow without stopping the blade. Brighter colors work in stained water, contrasting patterns in clear water.
