The Ugly Bug July 23, 2015 Reviewer: Steve Duniphan from Burfordville, MO United States   The Gapen Ugly Bug is one of the truly great designed fishing lures of all time.  I guided on The Current River in Southern Missouri for years and used it as a work horse for taking smallmouth and found it to be very snag proof amongst the rocks, allowing one to keep it in the kill zone where the fish reside.  The angle of the lure had a direct bearing on actually catching fish, for they would hold it longer.  It should be a tackle box mainstay for those who want to get on the water and really get after them.  Steve Duniphan Was this review helpful to you?

UGLY BUG July 7, 2015 Reviewer: Red Jim from Langley, BC Canada   No other fishing lure will catch the variety of fish the Ugly Bug does. Hands down the most versatile lure in existence. Spring, Summer, Fall or winter, the Ugly Bug works. Troll cast or jig it doesn't matter. Trout, Pike, Walleye, Whitefish even Salmon! If your not sure what fish are biting, the Ugly Bug provides the answer more often then any lure I have ever used. Bring extras because your fishing buddies will be begging for them.
